ULC Bernardsville Cinema 3... a day ago
Good evening everyone,
Yesterday I posted a review of the film we are playing vindicating trump. To say we've received a lot of DMs would be an understatement. So I would like to clarify a few of the most common questions and concerns.
* * *
3. Will name calling, blackmailing, threatening to cancel the theater etc get me to drop the film? No. When I opened my theater I had a simple goal. To share my love of film and moviegoing to every guest regardless of their background.
[Note: Apparently not all his patrons were delighted. This is my response.]
Please keep doing what you're doing. And thank you for working with the +MorePerfectUnion Morristown Brickyard to show "Join or Die" as well as introducing me (at the late age of 70) to independent theater.
I wouldn't cross the street, let alone drive to Bernardsville from Bethlehem, PA, to watch a Dinesh D'Souza film. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be shown.
Driving canvassers for the Harris campaign yesterday I stopped at a Wawa for coffee and saw a table out in front of E. Broad St. with two Trump supporters engaging with folks and handing out literature.
It was hot and, with no tarp, they were just sweating under the sun.
Got my coffee, thought about it, and said, "Oh, what the hell, what do I have to lose?"
On a whim, I bought two cokes and two cheese, pepperoni, and crackers snacks and - on my way out of the parking lot - stopped, got out of the car, told them what I was doing and what candidate I was doing it for, gave them the bag with the food, and waited to see with the response. (Ready to run to my car if necessary! 🙂 )
They engaged. They were delighted. Took my picture with one of them. One of them told me he owned a Yoga studio.
I thought I'd blow their minds and I probably did. But a YOGA studio?!
Not the stereotypical Trump supporter. 🤣
Your movies help Americans engage. And we really need more of that right now and in the months and years to come.
